LifeProof NUUD Waterproof Case For iPhone 7, 7 Plus Now Available

The folks at LifeProof have updated the NUUD waterproof iPhone case to allow support for both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with changes for the pair’s new camera protrusions. The new case also takes the existing splash resistance and ups the protection to a level of water resistance that should see the case protect the iPhone within it at depths of up to 6.6 feet.

In addition to the increased water resistance as well as resistance to dust and snow, the newly updated NUUD case also protects the iPhone inside against drops from heights of up to 6.6 feet.

Anyone on the lookout for a protective case that doesn’t look like it was once part of an armored tank could do worse than to check this case out.

Those who think this is the perfect case for them will be pleased to learn that it is available to buy as of today, though the thing isn’t cheap, coming in at $99 whether you want the standard iPhone 7 or the larger iPhone 7 Plus variety. There’s also a range of colors to choose from, including black, mermaid teal, midnight indigo blue, and plum reef purple.

“Our engineers consider a lot of consumer feedback in the design process, and they set out to create the best NÜÜD ever,” said LifeProof CEO Jim Parke. “They’ve done just that. The new NÜÜD design for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus features a fully transparent back so you can show off your iPhone and enhanced audio to keep calls and music crystal clear. NÜÜD delivers an experience that’s in a league of its own.”

Remember when things were just named after the color they actually were instead of these new sentence-long names we have to endure these days? They were simpler times.

The company’s FRE line of cases has also been updated for the new iPhones. The cases, which offer built-in screen protection, are selling for $89 right now.
