iOS 16.4 Final Release Date Expectation

Here’s iOS 16.4 final release date expectation for iPhone and iPad users.

Apple is working its way through the iOS 16.4 beta program and now we might not have to wait too much longer before the company makes the update available to everyone who wants it.

The iOS 16.4 beta is now in the hands of those who are on the developer and public beta programs, but it’s expected that the company will also release the update to the public in the final week of March 2023.

That means that, at the time of writing, there are only a couple of weeks to wait at the very worst.

Once iOS 16.4 is available it’ll be offered via the usual software update mechanism on compatible iPhones. The update brings with it a number of tweaks, although none of them are huge improvements for the majority of people.

At the top of the list is support for Safari Web Push Notifications. That allows websites to send notifications to iPhones so long as they have been installed on their Home screen and permission has been given.

There is also support for t number of new emojis, while third-party web browsers will also be able to add websites and web apps to the Home screen via the share menu.

The final big change is Apple’s laying the groundwork for removing beta profiles. With iOS 16.4, a new option for signing in with an Apple ID associated with a developer or public beta program has been added.

Other smaller changes include a page-turning animation in the Books app and the return of the HomeKit architecture upgrade.
