Fix Apple Logo Boot Loop On iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak, Here’s How

It seems that modern jailbreaking has become as much about troubleshooting and solving issues as much as it is about enjoying the freedom that liberating an Apple device actually brings. One of the most infuriating issues occurs when a device gets stuck in a boot loop and is constantly rebooting back to the Apple logo.

Thankfully, if you know what you’re doing, you can actually circumvent that and solve the underlying issue. The process laid out below will work for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running a jailbroken version of iOS 9.3.3. So without further ado, here’s what you need to do.

How to fix Boot loop issue on iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak:

Step 1: When boot loop of death occurs, be it because of incompatible tweak that you may have installed, or because of a conflict between multiple incompatible tweaks installed on the device, what you are first going to need to do is to perform a hard reboot on the problematic device. As this is a semi-untethered jailbreak, that hard reboot will put the device into a non-jailbreak state. To perform the hard reboot on your jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, follow our detailed instructions on it here: How To Hard Reboot / Restart Your iPhone, iPad Or iPod touch.

Step 2: When you get back to the Lock screen from the hard reboot, unlock the device and navigate to Settings > General > iCloud and make sure that Find My iPhone is disabled.

Step 3: Now head to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and make sure that the device passcode security feature is turned off. If it isn’t, tap Turn Passcode Off and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the change.

Step 4: Once Find My iPhone and Passcode are both disabled on the device, launch the Pangu jailbreak app from the Home screen. This bit is extremely important, so follow the bullets below for the process as this isn’t a simple re-jailbreak. We are gonna put the device in No Substrate Mode, which is basically jailbroken state minus the ability to run Cydia Substrate extensions, allowing you to uninstall the problematic tweaks to fix the boot loop of death problem. Here’s how to go about doing that:

  • In the Pangu jailbreak app, tap the Start button to begin the process.

  • As per the prompt on the screen, manually lock the device using the Power button.
  • When the Lock screen displays the notification from the Pangu app alerting that the jailbreak has been successful, immediately press and hold the Volume Up button on the side of the device until the Apple logo appears. This will put the device into No Substrate Mode.

Step 5: Now in No Substrate Mode, launch Cydia as you normally would. Uninstall the tweak(s) which you last installed that resulted in device getting into boot loop of death.

Step 6: Once you are done uninstalling the problematic tweaks, you can put your device back into jailbroken mode and enjoy the jailbreak. Follow the instructions here on how to do that: Re-Jailbreak Pangu / PP On iOS 9.3.3 After Reboot, Here’s How.

This should hopefully help you fix any boot loop issues that you maybe having on iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak.
