Bezel Photo For iPhone Brings Photographs To Life With Fun Shapes And Great Filters

For those who love using their iPhone and iPod touch to capture photos when they are out and about, then the chances are that scouring the App Store for photography based apps is a regular occurrence. Apps like Instagram have the sharing segment locked down, but if you prefer to step away from the default filters included in it then you could always take a look at the Bezel Photo app that not only offers a number of filters to enhance images, but also introduces fun shapes and a flat interface.

Right from launch, the app is essentially one large overlay on the camera embedded on the iOS device. Rather than allowing a user to capture a picture and then retrospectively applying a filter to it; Bezel Photo immediately applies the chosen shape over the top of the camera preview screen, meaning that we get to visualize how the end result will look like in real-time. Flicking through the multiple included shape overlays is extremely simple and involves simply pressing the corresponding shape to change the camera preview.

Capturing an image then allows a number of different filters and affects to be applied to the picture. Amending brightness and contrast is also possible through the simple controls as well as changing the background color of the overlaid shape. No photo based app would be complete without the ability to share our fantastic creations with the world and Bezel Photo certainly allows that. Twitter and Facebook integration is built into the app as well as being able to invoke Instagram and share directly onto said network.

There’s no denying that a great deal of users will definitely enjoy using an app of this nature. Taking images with nice fun shapes over the top is definitely a benefit and allows for all sort of creativity, but it does get slightly annoying when every other button you press produces a popup for an in-app purchase containing additional filter and shape packs. Nevertheless, that shouldn’t detract from a useful and fun app.
