This iPhone Camera Tips & Tricks Video Aims To Improve Your Shooting Skills

Aatif·August 31, 2014
The iPhone camera is the most popular camera on the planet as of now, and it’s not just something that cannot be backed up by facts; Flickr statistics clearly support this notion. It makes sense, too - when the original iPhone was launched back in 2007, the image quality was far superior to the competition despite being a fixed-focus, measly 2 megapixel shooter. Now we’re close to the iPhone 6’s launch, and the current flagship, the iPhone 5s, has a camera that’s come a long way since. It produces really good images, and it’s always with you in your pocket, making it camera of choice.

Microsoft Shows Interest In Popular Custom Android ROM Maker CyanogenMod

Aatif·August 30, 2014
While fragmentation is one of the biggest issues plaguing the Android ecosystem, it has also been one of the most beneficial aspects of the operating system, since it has allowed a number of OEMs to have their own builds of Android onto numerous smartphones, resulting in Google’s mobile OS becoming the largest market share holder in terms of usage. While OEM builds are the more popular ones out there, there are branches like CyanogenMod as well that have, over the years, built up a devoted fan base and massive developer community that continues to contribute to Cyanogen’s growth and development. And now, things might be headed in an even better direction for CM, as the team behind Cyanogen Inc. has met with Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella.

This Is What Android L Will Be Called When It’s Officially Rolled Out

Aatif·August 24, 2014
Google’s unique nomenclature for its Android operating system has always been something of interest to even the most staunch opponents of the platform. The Mountain View company opted for an unprecedented culture of naming Android versions after various desserts from around the globe, and so far, we’ve seen the likes of Éclair, Froyo, Jelly Bean, and KitKat, to name a few. The next iteration might be just around the corner, and it’s the time for the letter L, and Android L is what Google has been using in all its references to the next Android version as well. Today, however, new evidence points towards L standing for Lemon Meringue Pie.

Steve Jobs Iconic Stanford Speech Is Hidden Inside OS X, Here’s How To Access It

Aatif·August 24, 2014
I love Easter Eggs, and no, not the real ones - the ones that software developers and tech companies hide inside their products for us to find, revealing little tidbits that don’t add anything to the functionality of the device at all, but make using it all the more fun. Google’s been doing it for quite a while; game developers do it even more frequently. Today, we’ve stumbled across an Easter egg hidden inside our very own Mac, and it’s very very simple to reveal.

Video: Nokia Lumia 930, HTC One M8 Gracefully Accept Galaxy S5’s Ice Bucket Challenge

Aatif·August 23, 2014
Just yesterday, Samsung took a clever jab at not just one of its competitors, but three of them at the same time, by unveiling a video on its YouTube channel showing the Korean flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S5, taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and nominating Apple iPhone 5s, the HTC One M8 and the Nokia Lumia 930 to do the same. It appears that two of the nominees - namely, HTC One M8 and Lumia 930 - have taken up the challenge and took a dip in ice cold water.

Microsoft Is Working On A Chromecast Like Dongle Of Its Own

Aatif·August 23, 2014
Google’s Chromecast saw a level of success that’s not easily achievable for any gadget. The device still holds a listing at the top of Amazon’s best seller in electronics, and rightly so - the low costing streaming dongle has a wonderful feature set to offer at a highly attractive price tag. There hasn’t been any direct competitor to the Chromecast yet, but it appears that Microsoft finally might be upping its game. The software company might be entering the arena with a similar device aimed at users of the Windows ecosystem, according to some recent FCC filings.

Aatif·August 22, 2014
We have had more than enough reasons to believe that the new iPhone 6 will come next month; specifically, on September 9th in a media event. All the evidence right now points in that direction, and if we were to take any hint from what Walmart has done today, it’s all but confirmed. The retail giant has announced temporary price cuts to both the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models, offering the former at $79 and the iPhone 5c for an astounding, not to mention highly lucrative, $0.97.

This Awesome New USB Cable From Samsung Lets You Charge Three Devices At Once

Aatif·August 22, 2014
I’ve said a few times earlier as well that it matters a lot when tech companies attempt to resolve minor annoyances for consumers, and Samsung has today made an announcement to just do that. The Korean tech giant has unveiled a new charging cable today that can power up to 3 devices at once, thanks to its three pronged tail end. Details past the jump.
