There have long been rumors of Apple readying its first touchscreen laptop for release this year, and now a new report suggests that it will finally happen at an Apple event on October 28.
The same event is also expected to see Apple launch an M6 version of the standard MacBook Pro and iMac alongside a new OLED version of the iPad mini.

That’s all, according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who says that the October 28 event will take place in Los Angeles, with members of the media invited.
If everything goes the way that it is now expected to, there are multiple new devices set to be unveiled before the end of the month, including:
- Touchscreen 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with OLED displays
- New M6-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro
- New OLED Mac mini
- A new M6 version of the iMac
This is all following the recent announcement of the Apple HomeView, new HomePod mini 2, and fourth-gen Apple TV 4K. And Apple is set to make the iPhone Duo available to buy on October 23, with preorders beginning tomorrow. October is sure to be one of the biggest months ever for Apple and new product announcements.
It’s as-yet unclear whether we should expect a streamed Apple event to announce the new products, or if they will instead be shared via a press release.
