Apple’s iOS 27 Will Bring Custom Wallet Cards To The iPhone

Apple is expected to announce the iOS 27 software update at WWDC 2026, and a new report says it will allow iPhone owners will be able to create new, custom Apple Wallet cards and passes.

Following reports by MacRumors last month that iOS 27 would include the ability to create custom Wallet cards, Bloomberg has now backed that claim up in a new report.

The feature, Bloomberg says, will be called “Create a Pass” and will allow iPhone owners to scan the QR code on a pass or ticket and then have it turned into a digital version in the Wallet app. If no QR code is available, there will also be an option to create a custom pass.

The new feature is expected to work with tickets, gift cards, and more, with the option to choose different pass types as well as a color to customize its appearance.

Apple is set to announce iOS 27 during its WWDC 2026 event in June, before making the update available to developers as part of a beta program. It’s unlikely that the new software will be released to the public until this fall, likely alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Fold.

The iOS 27 update will be released alongside new software updates for the Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
