Apple has just released for download iOS 26.5.1 IPSW links and OTA update for some iPhone models, specifically iPhone Air and iPhone 17 series, including the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The release comes three weeks after final version release of iOS 26.5 and just a week ahead of WWDC where Apple will preview iOS 27 for the very first time.

To get the OTA update, head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device and grab the OTA update from there. Alternatively, you should be able to grab the IPSW file and update to it using iTunes on Windows or Finder on Mac. Keep in mind that Apple hasn’t released the IPSW file for iOS 26.5.1 yet but should do soon. We will update you when it’s available.
As for what is new in this update, Apple says iOS 26.5.1 fixes charging bug on iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air.
According to official release notes of iOS 26.5.1, Apple says:
This update addresses an issue for a small number of users that may prevent wired charging on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models when the battery is nearly drained.

Besides this, it’s likely that iOS 26.5.1 has also fixed more bugs and underline security issues ahead of iOS 27 debut next week.
Alongside iOS 26.5.1, Apple has also released a minor update for Macs in the form of macOS Tahoe 26.5.1 to address shutdown issue affecting enterprise users on M5-powered Mac models.
