After the huge success of Apple’s F1:The Movie, many were wondering whether there would be a sequel in the offing.
Now, following hints that it would be, it has been confirmed that there will indeed be a follow-up to the popular title.

The confirmation comes from someone who should know, too. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed the news, with the BBC reporting on his comments at the annual Academy Awards luncheon held in Los Angeles.
“We’re working on a sequel,” the producer is quoted as saying, but he wouldn’t be drawn any further than that.
The producer declined to give a timeline for the project or confirm casting details, including whether Pitt would reprise his role. But Bruckheimer added that he would “of course” be involved in casting decisions.

While it’s no surprise that there will be a sequel to such a popular movie, it’s never confirmed until it is. Now that’s taken care of, Apple will turn its attention to the first race weekend of its new F1 streaming service in the United States.
The deal will run for five years and offer Apple TV subscribers the option to stream race weekends without additional cost. The action starts next month — those who are yet to sign up to Apple TV can do so right now for $12.99 per month.
