You know how quickly people are moving away from papers and prints. I’d personally rather read a blog or may be an online version of a paper than a newspaper but there’s something about prints that probably can’t be replaced by digitization, not too soon at least.
The new update to Trimensional for iPhone let’s you take a 3D scan of your face which you may later use for 3D prints.
Though the app is a 3D scanner it’s not supposed to work with all-things-3D, instead it’s going to work just right with the faces only. Don’t try your weird fantasies with it, not now at least.
You may also end up creating rotating GIFs of 3D models and share with your friends. While the app comes only for a dollar, you can send the 3D scans directly to your 3D printer just by spending 5 more bucks (of course if you own a 3D printer). This is probably one of the most awesome iPhone apps I have ever come across which is why I bought it as I’m writing this.
