Samsung has only just walked off the stage in New York, but the Galaxy S4 is set to be old news already, especially if you're shopping on a budget or would prefer something smaller than a small ship. The Galaxy S4 Mini is on the horizon, and it's just been leaked online. Check out the details after the jump.
Whether you like a nice, small smartphone or a tablet-like behemoth is very much a personal decision. Some like to have huge 6-inch screens in the palm of their hands, whilst others think that the 4-inch display of pre fifth-generation iPhones is still the sweet spot. People will never agree on which is best, nor should they ever need to.
While the early notion of a smart watch from Samsung launching alongside the company's flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone didn't materialize, Lee Young Hee, Executive VP of Samsung Mobile, has told Bloomberg that the product is real, and is currently in development. The wearable tech, it would seem, will go head to head not only with the wildly-popular Pebble smart watch, but also Apple's heavily rumored iWatch, to which the Cupertino company is said to have dedicated a team of over one hundred personnel.
If Geekbench scores ruled the mobile industry, Samsung's latest and greatest Galaxy S4 handset would have blown out the competition. Having carried out some comparisons of the Geekbench 2 scores of the current popular and big-selling devices, PrimateLabs has established that not only is the GS4 considerably faster than any other smartphone ever made, but almost twice as fast as the iPhone 5, now that’s something.
Following on from the earlier report which supposedly revealed Galaxy S IV pricing and release details for Italy and much of the EU, retailer Unlocked Mobiles has just confirmed the price point of the SIM-free version in the United Kingdom. For a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S4 without any strings attached, UK consumers should be looking to pay around £529.98 including VAT, and while this is quite a high price to pay for a smartphone, it's around the same as you might pay for the HTC One, or iPhone 5.
Despite the release of the Galaxy S4 last week, many Android users are looking at which further software upgrades will be available for their devices, especially amid rumors of an upcoming major Android refresh, Android 5.0. According to a credible report, it seems like the Galaxy S III, along with the Galaxy Note II and a whole range of Samsung devices unveiled over the last year, will receive the upgrade once it becomes available.
Following on from its recent announcement of the Galaxy S4, Samsung has released a four-minute video showing off its new creation in a more condensed format than its considerably longer, and much more bizarre unveiling event.
Unless your Internet access has been cut off over the last few days, you are likely aware that Samsung showed off its new smartphone, the Galaxy S4, at a high-profile event in New York City. Right across the pond, in the United Kingdom, major retailer Phones4U has revealed that pre-orders of the new Galaxy S4 smartphone have vastly exceeded pre-registrations for previous models, an early sign that Samsung has managed to “woo” customers with its new device, at least in Britain.
Ever thought the Galaxy Note II's 5.5-inch screen is just a little too cramped, or maybe small for that matter? You may be in luck, especially if you've got hands the size of bigfoot!
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 launch ceremony finally took place a few hours ago in New York City, and among the myriad dramatics and orchestral ensemble, the company’s latest flagship device was revealed in the presence of a packed crowd. If you missed your chance to catch the live stream of the Samsung UNPACKED 2013 event (because let’s face it, the Korean company runs later than most), then you’ll be pleased to know that it’s now available to watch in its entirety. More details after the jump.
