Steve, the guy who was behind PushFix 2.0 (the first real fix for Push Notifications) for unlocked iPhones and Blacksn0w RC2 fix for iPhone 3.1.3 has just released Blacksn0w RC2 for iOS 4. This version of blacksn0w is basically a repackaged version of the original unlock released by geohot, and the binaries which were recently released by MSFT Guy for 05.11.07 baseband on iPhone 3GS, running iOS 4.0 GM (formerly iPhone OS 4).
There are a number apps which allows us to upload our videos to Facebook via an iPhone or iPod touch. But a native option for this which is built right in to the OS will be something that we all will love to have. According to a piece of code found in iOS 4 GM candidate, it looks like that built-in Photos/Camera Roll app will most probably support uploading of videos directly to Facebook, alongside the existing YouTube, MobileMe, MMS and Email Video options.
Redsn0w jailbreak tool has been updated to version 0.9.5b5 which brings full support for iPod touch 2G, along with optional support to enable multitasking and wallpapers on iOS 4.0 (formerly iPhone OS 4) on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G which otherwise are disabled by Apple.
Remember msft.guy? who fixed the blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3.1.3 05.11.07 baseband? and who recently released binary which enabled blacksn0w unlock port for iPhone 3GS, on iOS 4 Beta 4 (formerly iPhone OS 4). Well the guy is back now! He has posted PwnageTool bundles for iPhone 3GS, iOS 4 GM release which you can use to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS, while preserving your baseband so that you can unlock using ultrasn0w or blacksn0w.
Remember that scoop on American Beauty director Sam Mendes directing commercial for Apple iPhone 4? Well that rumor was true after all. Apple today at WWDC 10 showed off the new iPhone 4 with iOS 4 commercial which features video calling via iChat, along with 3.5’’ OLED screen, 960x640 pixel screen resolution, 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and lots more.
Apple today has finally released the very final version of iPhone OS 4 (now renamed to iOS 4.0), along with SDK for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 2G/3G. Members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise program can access the bits right now, while the public will get it via the latest version of iTunes soon.
Since Apple has renamed iPhone OS 4 to iOS 4, we thought we will update our jailbreaking guide for iOS 4.0 for both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. The redsn0w 0.9.5b4 which was released for iPhone OS 4 Beta 4 (now iOS 4) will need an update to work with this version of iOS 4. But the instructions to jailbreak would remain the same. We will let you know as soon as an update is available.
