Sonic The Hedgehog 2 And Pac-Man CE DX For Apple TV 4 Available To Download

When Apple announced Apple TV 4, much, if not all, of the major excitement was about the inclusion of themApp Store and what that could mean for a set-top box that had flattered to deceive ever since its initial introduction way back in January of 2007. Having apps on the big screen is something that the Apple TV had threatened to make possible for a number of years, with only those willing to jailbreak truly able to unlock the power of the device.

Well, with the tvOS App Store now starting to flesh out, we are finally beginning to reap the rewards of waiting so long, with some of the best games ever made making their way to the new Apple TV fourth-generation.

Well, we might be over-egging it a tad, but we certainly thoroughly enjoy a good game of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Pac-Man CE. We’re sure you do too, which is fortunate, really, because they have both now appeared for download.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Available for a bargain-tactic $2.99, the affectionately-named Sonic 2 was one of our favorite Sonic games back when Sega made gaming hardware, and that still stands today.

The game’s Apple TV appearance is one that is well-received, and while it’s true that the graphics won’t have you sitting up in awe of what you are witnessing, Sonic games will always have a certain degree of charm. If Sonic 2 doesn’t scratch an itch for you, there’s always the recently-released Sonic the Hedgehog to try out, too.

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

Not the cheapest game on the App Store at $4.99, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX might have the longest name of a game, ever, but it’s one that you should most definitely own. Dragging Pac-Man kicking and screaming into the 21st century, this game is bright, bold and above all, Pac-Man. What’s not to like?

Both of these games can be had from the tvOS App Store and, in our humble opinion, you should go and buy them now. Right now.
