New Report Suggests Samsung Will Unveil Galaxy S4 On March 15th

The Galaxy S III was shown off at an event last year in London. According to the same report, Samsung will hold this year’s announcement in the United States, in order to better capture the attention of US media and shift attention away from the iPhone, primarily rumors surrounding the next-generation Apple smartphone, the iPhone 5S. Invitations for this event will be issued shortly after the Mobile World Congress, which will take place between the 25th and the 28th of February in Barcelona, again in order to divert media attention.

Only a few details are known about the future Galaxy S smartphone, with Samsung being radio silent over the last few days and unofficial reports being often contradictory. However, all signs point to much-enhanced hardware: an Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) CPU, a quad-core graphics processor, a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p high-definition videos at 30 FPS and a 2-megapixel front camera capable of shooting 720p video. Moreover, another report surfaced today also suggests that the Galaxy S IV will hit shelves in two colors: black and white, similar to another smartphone product which Samsung has been competing head to head for the last few years.

If you have been waiting to upgrade your current smartphone, the Galaxy S IV sounds like a potentially great contender. Given today’s reports, it seems like you won’t have to wait much longer. The next few weeks will likely be jam-packed with unofficial leaks and reports on the new device, so stay tuned.

Unless you have been in a dark cave for the last few months, you are likely aware that Samsung is gearing up to release a massive upgrade to its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S IV. While vague details have been making their way onto the Internet, we now have concrete information on when it might be announced and hit shelves.

According to a source, the Galaxy S IV will officially be announced at an event on March 15th, just over one month away, and unlike previous indications that pointed to an official release in the middle of April, it now seems that the device will in fact be made available to consumers at the beginning of April.
