After an earlier teaser, Marvel has now confirmed that its immersive ‘What If…?’ Apple Vision Pro app will debut on May 30 while the company has also released a teaser trailer to give people an idea of what they can expect.
You’ll of course need an Apple Vision Pro to be able to enjoy this experience but it does appear to be something the likes of which we haven’t seen before, and it’s something that has the potential to be pretty special.
Utilizing the revolutionary spatial computing capabilities of Apple Vision Pro, What If…? – An Immersive Story will deliver a technologically advanced and engaging experience to fans. They will cross between augmented and virtual reality as they live out their narrative adventure, interacting with the world around them by using their eyes and hands.
Marvel says that the app will be available as a free download initially, saying that it will remain that way “for a limited time”. It isn’t yet clear just how limited that time will be or how much Apple Vision Pro buyers will be expected to hand over in order to get the app.
The Apple Vision Pro is expected to launch in additional countries after the June 10 WWDC event so we have to hope that people in those countries will have time to download the app for free, too.
