We know what you’re wondering: Is it possible to jailbreak iOS 18.6.1 on an iPhone? Here’s the latest status update so that you have everything that you need to know ahead of time.
It’s fair to say that jailbreaking isn’t as popular as it once was, thanks in part to Apple adding jailbreak tweaks as features to iOS. But that doesn’t mean that some people don’t still want to do it, which is a problem. Apple has gotten very good at preventing jailbreaking on its modern devices.

With the release of iOS 18.6.1 and iPadOS 18.6.1, the obvious question is, where does that leave jailbreaking fans?
The last time a jailbreak was released for the latest iPhone and iOS version was back in 2019. That seems unlikely to change any time soon, and that’s bad news if you’re a fan of jailbreaking.
While there have been jailbreak tools like checkra1n getting updated from time to time, they only support the iPhone X and older which means those with newer devices are left out. That has been the case for a while, and there is little suggestion that it will change soon.
This all means that there isn’t a jailbreak for iOS 18.6.1 right now, but that could change. We’ll keep our ears to the ground just in case, don’t you worry about that.
