The iOS 27 public beta 1 OTA profile release date, alongside iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and tvOS 27 public beta 1 release date, has been announced. Apple Vision Pro owners can also look forward to beta testing the visionOS 27 update as part of the public beta program, too.
As expected, Apple announced all of its new software updates during its WWDC opening keynote on June 8. It also made first developer betas available for those platforms, allowing app creators to test their wares against the new software.

But for those who are on the public beta program, a little wait was in order. Apple tends to wait until it’s released a few developer betas to ensure that it’s ironed out the main problems — and this year is no different.
To be specific, these new betas will all arrive next month before a months-long program that will culminate in a final release to the wider iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple TV-owning public in or around September.
If you want to test these updates out sooner, you can sign up for the public beta program at beta.apple.com right now. It’s free, but remember that these are beta updates and that issues and bugs are to be expected. We recommend that only installing these betas on devices that you don’t need to rely on.
