If you’re testing out Apple’s upcoming software ahead of its official release, there’s a fresh update waiting for you.
Following the release of beta 7 for developers earlier today, Apple has now rolled out iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 public beta 4.

To grab the latest update, just head over to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone or iPad if you’re already on the public beta. The update should appear over the air, no cables or computers required.
This fourth public beta aligns closely with the developer beta 7, so expect similar features and refinements.
Apple is likely gearing up for the full iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 releases, expected sometime in September. And, as usual, we’ll probably see iOS 26.0.1 and possibly even an iOS 26.1 developer beta not long after.
Thinking about hopping on the public beta train? It’s easy, and free. Just head over to beta.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and follow the instructions to enroll your device. Once you’re set up, the update will show up right in your Software Update section.
Happy testing!
