iOS 16.5.1 Battery Life Drain Comparison [Video]

Here’s iOS 16.5.1 and iOS 15.7.7 battery life drain comparison on compatible iPhone devices that you may need to know check out.

Apple has recently released iOS 16.5.1 and iOS 15.7.7, two new software updates that were released to deal with bugs and security issues. But how do they perform?

Those with iPhones compatible with iOS 16 can of course install iOS 16.5.1 but those with older iPhones that don’t include iOS 16 support can instead install iOS 15.7.7. And we’d suggest that you do given the security fixes involved. But what can you expect once you’ve completed the update process?

YouTuber iAppleBytes set about answering that question by running performance and battery tests on a range of devices running Apple’s latest software and then comparing the results with older versions of Apple’s mobile operating system.

The two sets of software updates were tested independently and there are two videos to check out, and we don’t want to spoil either of them. What we will say is that one of the software updates performs much better than the other, and you might be a little bit surprised which one that is.

As for the testing methodology, iAppleBytes says that the software updates were installed and then a period of 36 hours was allowed to pass to allow the software to complete the required indexing, etc. That should mean that these results are as realistic as possible, so with that in mind we’d suggest checking both videos out.

However, all of this aside these software updates also fix some pretty major security flaws including some that have been used to hack iPhones in Russia. With that said, we’d definitely suggest installing these updates regardless of the results shown in these videos.
