FIFA 14 For Android And iOS Download Now Available Worldwide

FIFA 14 for iOS was released just last week, but unfortunately for avid soccer fans, it was restricted to those based in specific regions. Today, not only has the latest installment of the popular series taken its worldwide bow, but for the very first time, FIFA has made its long-awaited debut for Android over at the Google Play Store. Details, as as well as the download info, can be found after the break.

FIFA, created by renowned publisher Electronic Arts, has long since been a mainstay of the gaming world, with titles dating right the way back to the SNES, and every year, without fail, a newly-updated version arrives for a plethora of different platforms. iOS has been treated to a FIFA release many times over, but while Android users have grown used to playing second fiddle as developers tend to favor Apple’s ecosystem when it comes to creating apps and games, the Play Store debut of FIFA has still been a long time coming.

Still, in many ways, the fact that it has taken so many years for an Android port to materialize works in the favor of those running Google’s software, for the number of different options, modes and general depth of experience is now quite incredible. On the odd occasion, critics have accused the FIFA series of stagnating, but having played FIFA 14 on the iPad for the best part of a week, the guys over at EA have definitely stepped things up a notch on the previous edition.
