Download: tvOS 12.1.1, macOS 10.14.2, watchOS 5.1.2 Final Versions Released

Great news Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch owners. Apple Inc. has finally taken the next step in its release schedule and pushed out the final versions of macOS 10.14.2, tvOS 12.1.1, and watchOS 5.1.2 into the public domain. All compatible hardware owners can download and install these releases right now!

One of the wonderful things about Apple is the company’s consistent and unrelenting approach to developing its software and ensuring that as many devices as possible can access and use those releases.

If you are the owner of a compatible Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Watch, then you are one of the fortunate individuals who can grab the latest releases with immediate effect.

macOS 10.14.2: As you might expect from the naming convention, macOS 10.14.2 is all about stability, bug fixes, and ensuring that the best possible experience is achieved across all compatible Macs. The release follows closely behind the release of macOS 10.14.1, meaning that we can only presume 10.14.2 is about eradicating any issues found in that release.

tvOS 12.1.1: tvOS doesn’t usually benefit from wholesale improvements or feature upgrades, which means that this release is very much a bug fix and stability release. Apple TV owners have been delighted with the changes made in tvOS and will be happy with this launch due to the fact that it irons out additional bugs and ensures that the platform is as streamlined as possible.

watchOS 5.1.2: watchOS has stuttered a little bit after the problems Apple experienced release watchOS 5.1 into the public domain. This release contains a host of new Complications for certain watch faces on Apple Watch Series 4 as well as a new toggle within Control Center to quickly toggle the Walkie-Talkie functionality on and off. New Complications mean additional versatility along with a heap of bug fixed in this release. In addition to all this, watchOS 5.1.2 also enables ECG functionality on the new Series 4 Apple Watch as long as their region is set to the US region.

If you are an owner of any of the hardware and want to get the latest firmware installed with immediate effect, then you can visit the relevant “Software Update” section on your chosen hardware to force the updates down as an over-the-air installation. Each release should offer fixes and improvements so there shouldn’t be any reason not to act right now and get your Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch updated.
