Apple Releases iTunes 11.0.5, Seeds iTunes 11.1 Beta 2

iTunes 11.1 beta 2 on the other hand is a developer-only build which likely features the same fix as today’s public version of iTunes 11.0.5.

First beta version of iTunes 11.1 was released at the end of last month and brought with it iTunes Radio for Mac OS X users. From the original change log of iTunes 11.1 beta 1:

This version of iTunes includes the new iTunes Radio – a great new way to discover music. iTunes Radio requires OS X 10.7 or later and is available in the U.S.

Today’s beta seed of version 11.1 is likely going to be the last build before the GM or public seed which Apple will release along with iOS 7 sometime next month. Apple is rumored to be holding an event on September 10th to announce new iPhone.

You can download iTunes 11.0.5 for both Windows and Mac by either heading over to apple.com/iTunes, or directly from Apple Software Update utility. iTunes 11.1 beta 2 on the other hand can be downloaded from Apple Developer portal. You will need to be a registered member of Apple Dev Center in order to get your hands on iTunes, iOS, OS X and Safari betas.
