Recent rumors that the first foldable iPhone, dubbed iPhone Ultra, has been delayed are wide of the mark. That’s according to a new report by a leaker.
It was originally expected that the iPhone Ultra would launch this September, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. However, some analysts have suggested that the device will miss that timeframe. Instead, they expect it to be released in December, although it might still be announced in September.

This staggered release wouldn’t be a first for Apple. It did something similar with the iPhone XR and iPhone 14 Plus, for example. But it might not be the case this time around anyway.
9to5Mac reports that leaker Fixed Focus Digital previously said that they expect the iPhone Ultra to ship alongside the new iPhone 18 Pro. They had suggested that there was a chance that, if delayed, the iPhone Ultra would go on sale a month later at the most.
Now, in a new report, the leaker says that any talk of an iPhone Ultra delay is fake.
“Apple’s First Foldable Screen May Be Delayed” Fake
“iPhone Ultra Reportedly Delayed to Next Year” Even more ridiculous
When pushed, the leaker said that we should “Just take [their] word for it, no delay.”
At this point, we’re likely to only find out what Apple’s actual plans are when the September iPhone event takes place. But we do expect more leaks and counter reports before we get there.
