ChatGPT and Adobe have teamed up to offer users of the chatbot the option to edit images and PDFs for free. New versions of Photoshop, Acrobat, and Adobe Express are all launching to allow the direct ChatGPT integration.
The apps are free to use and can be launched by typing the name of the app alongside an uploaded file.

As you’d expect, conversational instructions can then be given to ChatGPT in order to have it work with the app in question.
As an example, “Adobe Photoshop, help me blur the background of this image,” will do exactly what it sounds like it would. Users won’t continue to have to enter the name of the app each time they interact with it in the same interaction, and apps might sometimes offer a range of options for users to select from, depending on what the original request was.
However, while Adobe is offering versions of its apps for use with ChatGPT, these aren’t the fully fledged apps that people might have installed. That means that the features on offer will be more limited than otherwise might be expected. Between the versions of the apps that are being offered, users will be able to edit images and work with PDF documents, two of the main things people tend to use Adobe software for.
Adobe’s ChatGPT apps are available now across desktop, web, and iOS. Android support for Adobe Express is already present, but Photoshop and Acrobat support is coming soon.
