Redsn0w 0.9.7 beta has been updated today, eliminating the need of externally running usbmuxd process which plagued many Mac OS X users. Everything else remains the same. Bluetooth functionality is still disabled.

Skype app for iOS has received a significant update today which enables video calling from the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G and iPad client to virtually any Skype account in the world. You can now make iPhone to iPhone video calls, as well as iPhone to PC / Mac and vice versa.

Since Comex’s untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 has been delayed, MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev-Team has announced that they are going to release their “backup plan” for untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak over the Christmas weekend. However before they do a general release, they are looking for testers to try out this latest version of Redsn0w.
