Apple has today released the first RC, or Release Candidate, version of iOS 27.2 for download. Registered developers can now download the software ahead of what is likely to be a public release within the next week or two.
Apple has been testing iOS 27.2 with developers and members of the public beta program for a number of weeks now, leading up to an expected release towards the end of October.

A Release Candidate beta is part of that process. Assuming no issues are discovered or bugs need to be fixed, this may be the only release candidate. However, it’s also possible that another version may be released if there are problems to be addressed.
This iOS 27.2 software update brings with it a new Group FaceTime Dual Capture feature as well as improved language support for Siri AI.
Support for profiles in the Apple TV app is also included, as are changes to the way Apple Podcasts organizes episodes of shows. A newly redesigned Apple Music icon is also part of this update.
While it was also expected that a new Health app would be part of the iOS 27.2 release, that now seems unlikely. While it was present in early betas, it was removed later in the cycle. However, Apple is still expected to make the new Health app available later this year.
