Apple Informs Several Early Apple Watch Customers: ‘We’re Working On Your Order’

Apple has sent out what can only be referred to as a courtesy email to select Apple Watch customers who had ordered the wearable. The email from the Cupertino giant is meant to reassure customers that their pre-orders are being processed, and once it has shipped out, they will be notified about it.

It’s a well-known fact that the Apple Watch is definitely facing some supply issues, where stocks of the wrist-worn gadget is pretty limited when compared to the demand. Apple is all set to start shipping out the watch to customers starting this Friday – that is the 24th of April – however this email may not be all good news for those who receive it.

It appears that the email have been sent to those select customers whose orders are yet to be processed or prepared for shipment. The email says: “Your Apple Watch will be delivered between April 24th and May 8th,” leading many to believe that this note from Apple is meant to pacify customers who might not receive their Apple Watch this Friday. The email goes on to read: “we’ll send you an email with a specific delivery date and tracking information”.

Well, if you were about to receive your watch this Friday, we’re guessing you would have already received a notification email containing all those details already. While shipments will begin from tomorrow, it remains unclear how many customers will Apple be able to reach on day one. However, while the chance to receive your order on day one remains slim, Apple has confirmed that Apple Watch models with some truly extended shipping times may reach customers sooner than expected, but there will be that unfortunate bunch of users who will have to wait for quite some time.

With the Apple Watch selling out in under 6 hours after the company started accepting pre-orders for the device, interested customers were left looking at shipping estimates as far as June which is obviously a testament to the surging demand that the Apple Watch is witnessing. It is also worth noting that Apple had sold more units of the Apple Watch on day one, than all Android Wear devices combined till date.
