Apple has confirmed that the next iOS developer beta is expected to arrive next week, bringing the first round of Apple Intelligence testing to users in China.
According to a press release on Apple’s China website, testing will begin on November 4 as part of the next iOS developer beta. While Apple has not directly confirmed the release date of iOS 27.3 beta 1, the announcement strongly points to its arrival next week.

Apple Intelligence has faced several delays in China due to regulatory requirements. The company has now cleared an important hurdle and is preparing to bring some of its AI features to Chinese iPhone users.
However, the initial rollout will not include the new AI-powered Siri features. Instead, Apple is working with Chinese AI company Alibaba to bring its Qwen model to certain Apple Intelligence features.
Users will be able to access Qwen through features such as Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence. The rollout will also include tools like Genmoji, Clean Up in Photos, Live Translation, notification summaries, and Smart Reply.
Apple says the features will initially be available on supported iPhones, with public availability planned for December alongside iOS 27.3.
The update marks an important step in Apple’s AI expansion in China, although users will have to wait longer for the full Siri AI experience.
