Amazon Offering Discounts On Kindle Paperwhite And Voyage For Limited Time

After launching its ‘Black Friday pre-sales store‘ yesterday, Amazon is back once again with a deal for its annual Prime members. The online retailer had initially promised Amazon Prime members that they would get preferential access to more than 30,000 “lightning”deals before they went live to its regular customers, but it seems Amazon has also provided Prime subscribers with another reason to continue subscribing to the service; a $30 discount on selected Kindle devices.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, who just happens to be in the market for a shiny new e-reader, then it seems you’re in luck. Both the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Voyage have been discounted for the Prime army. The extremely popular Kindle Paperwhite is now listed for sale at $89.99, which represents the lowest price to-date for the $119.99 device. The $169.99 price associated with the Kindle Voyage is the first time Amazon has applied a discount to the top-end Voyage reader. Both of those prices represent a notable $30 discount.

The deal itself will only be visible via the Amazon website and store pages to those who are current, up to date Prime members, and who are physically logged into their account on the site. If you’re a Prime member, but not logged in, then the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Voyage will still show as $119.99 and $199.99, respectively. If you are logged in, the deal will be represented by a yellow banner strip across the top of the product pages.

There’s no word on how long this deal will be last for, though Amazon has already made it abundantly clear that it plans to consistently offer savings and price reductions on a wide range of goods as part of the run up to Black Friday. Even then, the company has also made it clear that it plans to offer a week of actual Black Friday deals as well, rather than just a single day after Thanksgiving. The same ethos will apply to Cyber Monday when that time comes around.

For those that may not know, Amazon Prime is an annual subscription service that retails for $99 per year. Membership entitles the consumer to free two-day shipping on a plethora of items on Amazon.com, as well as immediate and unrestricted access to Amazon’s Prime Video library of content that includes movies, TV shows and music content. It also gives you immediate access to limited time deals such as this one.
