Apple Music Revamp Confirmed Following New Icon Release

Apple brought a new Music icon to its platforms earlier this month, and the company today completed the transition by announcing a new brand identity for Apple Music as a whole.

Apple announced the new look via a video posted to YouTube, with the company saying that its new visuals were “made by sound.”

That is very much the case, too, with sound being played through a container of water, moving the liquid at the same frequency as the sound itself. Apple Music branding was placed behind the container, with photos taken to create branding material.

The overall look and feel of the new look is very similar to Apple’s Liquid Glass interface, now found on iPhones, Macs, Apple Watches, and other Apple hardware everywhere.

In terms of color, the new Apple Music scheme mainly consists of black and white, ditching the vibrant red that has been the aesthetic for years. Don’t expect to see the new theme on your devices just yet, though, with Apple saying that it will officially launch with the release of iOS 27.2 and the rest of Apple’s software updates.

Apple is expected to release these new updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro early next week.
