Here are iOS 26.3.1 battery life drain and performance tested on various different iPhone models. Here are the details on this.
Apple recently released iOS 26.3.1 and iOS 18.7.6 to the public, allowing them to be installed on iPhones around the world. The former is designed for newer models, whereas the latter is for older iPhones that are not supported by iOS 26.

But with some wondering whether they should install either update, one YouTuber has put both through their paces to see how they stack up.
The tests saw both iOS 26.3.1 and 18.7.6 put through the wringer to see how they fared in both raw performance and battery life tests. Those with older iPhones will be particularly keen to ensure that iOS 18.7.6 doesn’t negatively impact their battery life. Older iPhones have older batteries which can often struggle to get through a day at the best of times.
You can check out the full tests to get a feel for what you can expect from iOS 26.3.1 and 18.7.6 on your own iPhones. All of the tests were completed as scientifically as possible, and multiple iPhone models were included to offer a wider idea of what iPhone owners can expect.
Neither of the two software updates brought new features to the tablet and instead focused on fixing bugs. We always recommend installing bug fixes and security updates to ensure you’re using the latest, most secure software available.
