OpenAI Shares Your Year With ChatGPT Recap

It’s that time of year when every company and service you’ve ever come into contact with sends you your 2025 recap. And now, OpenAI is no different.

The company is now sharing its first ChatGPT recap, dubbed Your Year with ChatGPT. The feature is only available to private accounts, so no education or business customers are included.

According to a TechCrunch post detailing the feature, you “might be awarded with the ‘Creative Debugger’ if you used the chatbot to come up with solutions to a problem or worked through a concept or idea.”

At launch, the feature will be offered to those with the free, Plus, and Pro plans who have the “reference saved memories” and “reference chat history” options turned on and have met a minimum conversation activity threshold, the company told TechCrunch via email.

The report also notes that the app creates a poem and image based on your topics of interest.

All eyes will be on the same feature at the end of 2026, with ChatGPT set to allow adult content on the platform for the first time.

The new feature is available in English-speaking countries, including the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand. There is no word on whether other countries will get in on the “fun” next year, though.
