Windows 8 RTM Build 9200 Reportedly Leaked Online Ahead Of Official Launch

The version of the OS that has managed to escape to certain file sharing sites is the secondary N edition which Microsoft has been forced to create due to certain European Commission rulings which states that the company need to offer a version of their popular operating system without Windows Media Player included.

Officially, the premium subscribers to MSDN and TechNet are slated to get their copies of Windows 8 on August 15th. General users and those who are looking forward to purchase a copy of Windows 8 will be able to do so on October 26th.

Various outlets have reached out to the Redmond-based technology giants to try and get a reaction but it seems that they are remaining understandably tight-lipped about the situation.

We obviously aren't going to disclose the sites that are hosting the leaked Windows 8 RTM build and we strongly recommend that all users stay away from this download in favor of the official Windows 8 build when it becomes available later on.

Microsoft fans and PC users the world over have been sitting patiently for the day when the Redmond company deemed their latest Windows 8 operating system ready for a full public release. Microsoft has put a lot of effort into the design and development of the latest version of Windows, making sure to keep users involved in every step of the way with regular preview releases for testing purposes. Reaction to the radically overhauled operating system has been somewhat mixed, but has been positive enough to make Microsoft think that they may be onto a winner.

And now according to TheVerge, It appears that the final build of Windows 8 – which is the RTM build – has somehow managed to find itself being leaked onto the internet, which in itself isn’t exactly mind-blowing. This news comes only a day after Microsoft announced that they had completed all development work on the OS.
