Watch: Huawei Uses Siri To Mock Apple, Samsung In New Device Teaser Trailer [VIDEO]

Huawei does this rather well in the new promo video, first asking "Siri" whether there's anything new or amazing to be revealed at this year's Mobile World Congress. The mocked-up Siri promptly replies with a teaser of Huawei's forthcoming tablet, which is noted as being large, slim, and packing a significant battery life for "days of use."

Without prompting, Siri's evil twin then goes on to talk about another product in the Huawei pipeline - this time a smartphone. Although the video is dark and doesn't give a great deal away so as to preserve something for next week, it is noted that the handset will feature a good front-facing camera - something that most high-end smartphone makers tend to overlook.

Finally, Huawei's Siri lets slip a few details of a "multimedia tablet," which will focus on those who like to game, watch movies, and generally kick back and enjoy their time with their slate. Said slab purportedly offers the "ultimate entertainment experience" with next-gen LTE support, so it will be interesting to see what's in store when Huawei takes the wraps off these products at the Mobile World Congress.

Naturally, the video ends with a cheeky little joke, with the Siri user asking "what are they? Fruit or Some song? [referring to Apple and Samsung]." Siri sets the user straight, however, noting that the products are, in fact, Huawei, and are "ready to amaze the world again."

Whether we will be as impressed or "amazed" by these new devices remains to be seen. But all will be revealed at MWC, which we will be following here at Redmond Pie, so stay tuned!

A little light-hearted mocking of rivaling companies and their products never hurt anybody in the tech industry, and as we’ve seen through numerous ad campaigns over the years, they’re all at it. With MWC not too far away, Huawei has caricatured Apple’s Siri voice assistant to rib both the Cupertino company and rival Samsung, while also promoting its new, to-be-announced smartphone and tablet. Check out the humorous clip right after the break!

Siri makes for great entertainment, and while Apple has used the smart assistant to aid its own keynote speeches in the past, competitors have also latched on and poked a little fun at her computerized tones.
