Apple TV will be the home of Formula 1 race weekends in the United States when the new season begins in March, and now a new partnership means you can watch races in IMAX theaters, too.
Five of the 2026 Grand Prix will be shown at IMAX theaters across the United States, with iconic races from Austin, Miami, Monaco, Monza, and Silverstone on offer.

Everything will kick off at the Miami GP on May 3 with races set to be shown at more than 50 IMAX locations across the United States.
Apple Services VP Oliver Schusser said in a statement shared by 9to5Mac that “by bringing F1 on Apple TV live to IMAX theaters nationwide, we’re delivering the energy and excitement to even more screens in a truly immersive way”.
While you’ll need an Apple TV subscription to watch live F1 races in the United States, you won’t need to subscribe to any additional services. Apple recently ditched its MLS Season Pass and rolled its Major League Soccer coverage into the standard Apple TV subscription, and the F1 coverage is the same.
Apple’s F1 deal runs for five years starting this season and will make Apple TV the only place that you can watch live race weekends in the United States. Viewers outside the United States will continue to watch F1 elsewhere.
