After months of testing, Apple has finally made available to download visionOS 26 RC update for registered developers.
Apple made the Release Candidate available following the conclusion of its iPhone 17 event today. This beta is likely to be the final one before the release of the final version of visionOS 26 to the public.

It’s still too early to know exactly what has changed in this Release Candidate but it’s likely that Apple has ironed out any final bugs and improved performance in a way that would be sufficient for a public release. In fact, it’s likely that this Release Candidate is the same version that is released to the public, assuming no further issues or showstopping bugs are discovered during the final beta testing.
Apple, developers, and public beta testers have been putting visionOS 26 through its paces since it was announced at WWDC in June. The update brings with it a new Liquid Glass design language and a raft of new features. One of those features is support for widgets that are persistent, allowing Apple Vision Pro owners to place them in 3D space and know that they will remain there.
Other upgrades include improvements to Personas as well as a new Safari spatial browsing mode and support for PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers when playing AR/VR games on the Apple Vision Pro.
