This Huawei Phone Just Gave Us A Glimpse Of The First Foldable iPhone

Apple is expected to announce its first foldable iPhone this fall, and a new Huawei phone might have just given us a glimpse of what we can expect when it does.

The Huawei Pura X Max has just been announced and will go on sale in China next week. The phone has a similar, squat passport-like look to that which we’ve seen reports of the iPhone Fold sporting.

That means that the outer display will be almost square when compared to the current iPhone, while the internal foldable display will be around the same size as an iPad mini.

In terms of dimensions, the foldable iPhone is expected to have a 5.5-inch external display, while a foldable 7.8-inch display will be on the inside.

Apple is, of course, yet to officially announce the new iPhone Fold, but it’s expected to be announced in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

As for when the iPhone Fold will go on sale, there have been competing reports. Some have claimed that the iPhone Fold will go on sale a few weeks after the iPhone 18 Pro devices. Others have said that a simultaneous launch is in the cards or, if a delay happens, it will be much shorter than others believe.

One thing we do know is that the iPhone Fold is set to be costly. It’s expected to cost at least $2,000 for the entry-level model.
