This Android Widget Allows You To Dial Out Calls From Home Screen With Minimal Fuss

Dialer

Once installed, you're presented with a simple dialer, so if you want to quickly make a call to a new number (or indeed, if you know the number so well, that typing it out is more productive than trying to find it in your contacts list), then you can easily do so.

If you would like to check your call log or contacts though, you can easily do so by hitting the navigation buttons at the top of the dialer widget, so in essence, it's like a fully-functional, easily accessible replication of your stock phone app.

Also, you can customize the look and feel of the widget to suit your aesthetic tastes, so if you're not over keen on the default look and want something more in-keeping with your other widgets, there are plenty of options for chopping and changing things about.

All in all, this is a widget I would highly recommend, and considering it won't even cost you anything to download, I strongly suggest you check it out via the link below. If you do happen to give it a whirl, be sure to let us know of your thoughts by leaving a comment.

Widgets make the world a better place, and luckily for those on Android, the Play Store is awash with them. Depending on which apps and features of a device you use most commonly, tailoring one or a number of home screens to your exact requirements is very easy thanks to the multitude of accompanying widgets available. These can range from simple toggles and music controls to more full-on experiences with various feeds of live data, but if you’re the kind of smartphone user that sees a handset as a mode of calling before all the other bells and whistles have been considered, you may be interested by the Simple Dialer Widget.

As the name implies, this little home screen add-on allows you to begin calling as you were once able to before phones got smart, and although it doesn’t quite possess the array of features offered by some other widgets, it does what it purports, and does so with aplomb.
