The Trump family has launched its own mobile carrier as well as its first phone, which will apparently be made in the United States.
The Verge reports that Trump Mobile will launch with a single plan, dubbed The 47 Plan, which will sell for $47.75 per month.

In terms of coverage, the carrier says that it is on a par with the main US carriers and will work with your existing phone.
Not that Trump Mobile doesn’t have a phone to sell you. That phone is the T1, a handset that will sell for $499 and comes in a gold-like finish and is supposedly being built in the United States. It’s available for a $100 preorder fee right now and will be available in August of this year, according to a press release.
While customers can easily switch using their current phone, Trump Mobile is also excited to announce it will release the “T1 Phone” in August. It is a sleek, gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States for customers who expect the best from their mobile carrier.
Trump Mobile will not be contract-based and there is no credit check, the release says, adding that unlimited talk, text, and data will be part of the deal. Other benefits, we’re told, will include device protection, roadside assistance, and more.
