After all of the waiting, it’s finally happening, Tesla’s retro-themed diner and EV charging spot is set to open in Los Angeles as soon as today.
According to The Verge, the Tesla Diner will offer people the chance to get fast food while they wait for their electric vehicles to charge.

And as if that isn’t enough, there’s some entertainment as well. The Diner sports giant screens that will show things like movie clips and other entertainment while the charging happens. Notably, The Verge also notes that people will be able to watch via their Tesla’s in-vehicle display as well.
Food will be served in boxes shaped like Tesla’s iconic (for good and for bad) Cybertruck, while it’s reported that Tesla Optimus robots were even spotted serving food at a soft launch event for the location.
In a post on the X social network, CEO Elon Musk said that the plan is for more of these diners to spring up in major cities around the world. That’ll happen if the first Los Angeles diner “turns out well,” Musk said, adding that he expects that to be the case.
In the same X post, while sharing a video, Musk said that the diner is “An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!”
