We’re getting closer and closer to a stable port of Android to the HP TouchPad, folks! A video uploaded today shows that the developers behind the TouchDroid project have managed to achieve another one of their objectives: the ability to dual-boot webOS and Android 2.3.x “Gingerbread”.

By now, you’ve probably heard news of Hewlett-Packard discontinuing their line of webOS devices and “spinning off” their PC business; the discontinuation of the webOS-based TouchPad has left retailers with thousands of units which are now being sold for as cheap as $99. You may want to get your own $99 TouchPad too, as a group of developers have announced the TouchDroid project which aims to bring Android to the TouchPad.
