There is one big story in Mac software right now, and that's OS X 10.8, Mountain Lion. Available for less then twenty dollars via the Mac App Store, the update to Mountain Lion is all geared around building on top of your current, working system. If you're like us though, you probably like to have a nice clean install of your operating system every once in a while, but the Mac App Store doesn't always make that the easiest thing in the world.
Just one month after Apple released the first revision to its Developer Preview of the upcoming OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) OS, the third Developer Preview has just been seeded, and as the title reveals, it's only for those paying subscribers of Apple's Developer program.
Just 7 months after releasing OS X 10.7 Lion, Apple has formally announced OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. It’s a big step ahead in the “iOS-ification” of the world’s most advanced desktop operating system and we’ve got all the details you need after the jump!
The final version of OS X 10.7, also known as Lion, came out this past Summer in July and Apple is already on the task of creating the next major release which would be the successor of said OS.
