With the Consumer Electronics Show merely a day away, Silicon Valley’s worst-kept secret – the purported ‘iPad 3’ – is the gadget on everyone’s lips.

Rumors rumors, rumors everywhere. Yes, you got it, yet more rumors doing the rounds and this time they relate to the possible inclusion of a 7.85 inch iPad being released in 2012 to accompany its bigger 9.7 inch brother. This particular rumor is nothing new, and has been doing the rounds for some time now, but it appears that it is growing in credibility.
DigiTimes is at it again, folks; citing “sources in the supply chain” who appear to make stories up faster than 5 year olds who, today, sources claim that Apple is looking to launch a smaller iPad for release sometime later next year.
We are well and truly on our way to the iPad rumor nirvana that is early-January, with some new claims by the notoriously hit and miss DigiTimes suggesting that the new iPad 3 could be with us in the next 3 to 4 months.
Far from being content with one new product hitting the market, consumers are almost instantly looking for what's next, what can be improved, and when it's going to arrive.
