Official Android 4.3 Update For HTC One Will Start Rolling Out In September

Ben Reid·August 20, 2013
One of the major annoyances of many an Android user is the fact that when a new software update comes around, it can often take weeks or even months to reach even some of the newer devices to market. Google's release of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in July has only, thus far, been primed and distributed to a handful of devices, and many, such as HTC's flagship One, are still waiting in the cold. However HTC's Jason Mackenzie has revealed on Twitter that the company is looking to have Android 4.3 ready for its prized smartphone by the end of next month.

HTC Droid DNA All-In-One Toolkit Lets You Root, Install Drivers, Boot Into Recovery, More

Ben Reid·November 28, 2012
We've seen a spate of all-in-one tool-kits for Android devices surface recently, and adding to the release of the AiO for the Nexus 4 and HTC One X+, the guys over at XDA Developers have rustled together a similar tool for the HTC Droid DNA. Last week, we showed you how to go about rooting the slick 4G device and also unlocking its bootloader, but if you found that particular tutorial to be a little daunting, you can not only root, but install drivers, flash custom recoveries and more with the toolkit.

How To Root HTC Droid DNA [Tutorial]

Aatif·November 21, 2012
In the world of Android, rooting a device is what jailbreak is to Apple’s iOS creations, although the former is much easier compared to the latter, thanks to Android’s open source nature and direct Linux-based kernel base. Nevertheless, it does take quite some skill to achieve that for all the new devices that are released, and here, we owe thanks to the highly dedicated and active developer community that exists for Android, putting in tireless hours to make lives easier for us. This is symbolized in many cases. Take Google’s Nexus 4, for example, that got rooted just a few hours after its release, showing how much potential the platform has for community support and developers’ love.
