T-Mobile’s Starlink Integration Goes Live With iPhone Support

T-Mobile has announced that its integration with Starlink’s satellite connectivity is no longer in beta and is officially available. The service is also available to Verizon and AT&T customers, should they need to use it.

The news was announced by Mike Sievert, T-Mobile’s CEO, in a post on the X social network.

“Today marks a huge step in T-Mobile’s mission to end dead zones. T-Satellite is officially out of beta and available to anyone who wants it, including Verizon and AT&T customers!” the CEO said in the post. He went on to add that the service will use more than 650 satellites in orbit today, the “largest satellite-to-mobile constellation on the planet.”

As a result, customers on T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon will be able to connect almost anywhere so long as they have a clear view of the sky. Sievert added that the additional connectivity is “already helping save lives during disasters and providing an extra level of safety for those who love to explore the great outdoors.”

The service will allow people with iPhones to use iMessage and SMS even when they don’t have a cellular or WiFi signal. However, data is not supported.

T-Mobile’s satellite connectivity is free for Beyond 5G and Go5G customers, while those on other plans can pay $10 per month to add the feature.
