Samsung first showed us its upcoming trifold phone earlier this year, but it’s now seeded the device with a number of outlets and YouTubers – along with the promise of a launch in the early parts of 2026.
The phone isn’t actually as trifold device, but instead has two folds which creates a three-panel design. But Samsung is going with the Galaxy Z TriFold branding regardless.

Unfolded, those three panels will give you a phone more akin to a 10-inch tablet, while a main 6.5-inch outer display is what you’ll use when the device is folded up.
As a whole device, the Galaxy Z TriFold is going to be similar to a Galaxy Z Fold 7 in a ton of ways, including the use of a Snapdragon 8 Elite (for Galaxy) chip paired with 16GB of RAM.
A main 200-megapixel camera is joined by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Fans of selfies will be able to use one of the two 10-megapixel cameras – one found on the outside of the phone, the other on the inside.
Other tidbits include IP48 dust and water resistance as well as a Crafted Black color which appears to be the only option. The phone is also a thick boy when closed, coming in at 12.9mm. It’s also heavy, weighing 309 grams.
As for a launch window, it’ll go on sale in Korea in December 12, but a global launch will come in Q1 2026. Pricing is unknown right now, but anything up to around the $3,000 mark seems likely.
