A new tweak Go Native, has been released. This is a free tweak which will allow you to run applications in the background natively, on the applications that don’t support it yet. The developer said that this is an alternative to the tweak Backgrounder, in case you want native iOS 4 multitasking for all applications.
There are many iPhone 4 knockoffs in China, and most of them looks very similar to Apple’s iPhone 4. However, this SoPhone looks almost identical. Infact at first sight, this phone doesn’t look like a knockoff at all. Moreover, not only does this phone have the same appearance as the iPhone 4, the UI looks and works just like iOS 4.x.

The year 2010 is now coming to a close. Since I got to play with many different gadgets, I thought it will be nice if I summarized a list of my personal favorites from the year 2010.
According to Hitwise data released today, Facebook was the most visited website in the United States for 2010. Facebook.com took 8.93% of site visits between January and November 2010. Google.com came second at 7.19%, Yahoo! Mail third with 3.52%, Yahoo.com came fourth at 3.30%, and YouTube was at fifth with 2.65%.
AT&T has been exclusively holding the iPhone for three years now, and it looks as if it’s finally going to come to an end soon. Apple is expected to announce the Verizon iPhone in early 2011. BusinessWeek reports that the announcement may not take place at CES 2011, but shortly afterwards, either by or before Valentines Day i.e. February 14th.
Skype app for iOS has received a significant update today which enables video calling from the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G and iPad client to virtually any Skype account in the world. You can now make iPhone to iPhone video calls, as well as iPhone to PC / Mac and vice versa.
The original iPhone caused internal panic at RIM according to a former employee. RIM allegedly held several meetings the day after the iPhone was announced. The employee revealed that the BlackBerry maker accused Apple of lying about the iPhone as it was impossible for phone with such a large screen to last a useable lifespan.
After playing around with the recent discoveries made by James Whelton, another iPhone developer and hacker Steven Troughton-Smith has found DFU mode in the 6th-gen iPod nano which is similar to the one found in all iPhones and iPod touches.
CNN has listed out their “The 10 biggest tech fails of 2010” in which they have picked Apple’s iPhone 4 “antennagate” as tech’s biggest fail of the year 2010.
