Following the release of iOS 26.2, Apple is already working on new software updates. Now, a new leak claims to have information on Apple’s plans for iOS 26.4 as well as iOS 27 and beyond.
According to MacRumors, code identified in a leaked internal build of iOS 26 has outed a number of new features potentially a year and more away from launch.

The iOS 26.4 update, Macworld claims, will include a number of new Siri upgrades including some powered by Apple Intelligence. The same update will also feature a redesigned Health app as well as the potential launch of the long-rumored Health+ subscription feature.
Apple is also reportedly working on a new “Sports Tier” of the Apple TV app, but it’s unclear what that might offer. There is also a suggestion that Apple could add new outdoor location finding features for the AirPods.
Moving further into the future, Apple is reportedly planning improvements to the Photos app as well as changes to the way AirPods are paired for the iOS 27 release. That won’t be announced until June 2026 and released until September of that year, so expect more details to leak as we get closer to that time.

The report also claims to have information on Apple’s plans for iOS 28, a software update that is set to launch in 2027. According to the leak, Apple is working on new metrics for the Apple Watch’s sleep tracking feature to debut alongside iOS 28.
It’s important to remember that none of this is confirmed by Apple, and it’s yet to be backed up by a third-party report so we will have to wait and see how accurate any of these leaks are.
