Minecraft: Apple TV Edition Available To Download Now

Minecraft: Apple TV Edition is rolling out on tvOS App Store with the app being already live and available to download in some regions.

Originally announced back at Apple’s “hello again” Mac event, the now Microsoft-owned insanely popular title, which is all about placing blocks and going on adventures, has arrived on Apple’s set-top box platform after proving a smash-hit on various other platforms such as PCs, game consoles, and mobile devices like the iPhones, iPads and Androids.

Minecraft for Apple TV features seven pieces of DLC, including the likes of Holiday 2015, Town Folk, City Folk skin packs, in addition to Plastic, Natural, Cartoon and Festive 2016 mash-ups.

Apple TV edition of Minecraft also includes the newly released Ender Update which was launched earlier today for Windows 10 and mobile devices. Ender Update features The Ender Dragon, Dragon’s Breath potion, The End, and a ton more.

All the features new to Ender Update can be seen in the video embedded below:

Explore randomly generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles. Play in creative mode with unlimited resources or mine deep into the world in survival mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off the dangerous mobs.

One feature that Apple TV version of Minecraft is missing at this point in time is support for Minecraft Realms or Xbox Live, though the development team behind the app has confirmed that the game will be updated with support for Realms and Xbox Live sometime in near future.

Minecraft for Apple TV costs $19.99 on the tvOS App Store and as mentioned earlier, is rolling out to all tvOS regions worldwide. Keep checking your local region-specific tvOS App Store as Minecraft may popup on it at anytime.

Minecraft for Apple TV requires an Apple-ceritified MFi-based game controller to play.
