Leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Specs Reveal 256GB Storage, Massive Battery, More

Rumors and speculations regarding Samsung’s Galaxy Note 6 are beginning to pick up pace. Bit by bit, new information is dropping in, giving us a broader picture of what we can expect from Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note phablet.

Today’s revelations are pretty important to that end, with new info being made available on a mammoth-sized battery, huge internal storage, massive RAM, USB-C port, and more, which is expected to be part of Samsung’s 2016 Galaxy Note series.

The Note series from the Korean electronics giant has never been shy of packing in the best possible specs available at the time of release, so with 128GB of on-board storage now being the norm in the smartphone world, 256GB of internal storage seems to be the next big thing to go with, and so is the whopping 4,200mAh battery, 6GB of RAM, and Snapdragon 823, that are all expected to power this beast of a phone. As for the display, Note 6 is said to feature 5.8-inch screen instead of 5.7-incher found on the Note 5.

Additional info coming in from industrial sources is claiming that Samsung may finally throw in a USB-C port for the upcoming phablet, a feature that was expected to debut for Samsung with its Galaxy S7/S7 Edge line, but as we know now, didn’t materialize at that time. It is believed that the reason why Samsung didnt adopt USB-C for Galaxy S7 series is because the company wanted the phone to remain compatible with the current-gen Gear VR headset and its micro-USB interface. But now with the Note 6, that’s all set to change with USB-C port being order of the day for Samsung.

If the Galaxy Note 6 is indeed moving to USB-C, it won’t be surprising to see Samsung coming up with an updated Gear VR headset this fall which supports USB-C interfacing.

Previous Galaxy Note 6 rumors have indicated Galaxy S7-like IP68 rated waterproof body for the phablet, along with an iris scanner for biometric security.

Samsung is expected to unveil Galaxy Note 6 somewhere around August/September this year.
